Jason and I started hanging out about January 15th or so.. the first night we talked to each other was on facebook messenger and I was just about to start typing him a message, which included the word.."Hi." before I could type it, he started to talking to me and said hi. So we both tried talking to each other at the same time. Later during the conversation we decided to hang out with each other sometime, so we kinda said our goodbyes online and said we'd talk again soon. About a week later we got online and started talking again; well within maybe 5 minutes we really wanted to get together and do something fun. He came and picked me up at my dad's house and we went to see his friend, RJ. That night we ended up throwing darts, watching some chappell shows, and chatting for a while. I had a really fun time and wanted to spend some more time with him, even though at the time he had a girlfriend and I just got a divorce. So we ended up going to EAC the next night to play raquet ball. Jason was very sweet and charming, he opened the doors for me and taught me some cool tips and tricks for raquet ball. He is very good at it too. I was a little scared with how to act, I really liked him, but didn't want to be too much too fast and knew he just broke up with his gf and it was only our 2nd night hanging out. Well we ended up getting together again a few days later, January 22nd and we went up to the mountain. (Mt. Graham) It had snowed for the past few days and there was lots of snow to play in, so we got some snow toys and his friend RJ and headed up to the mountain. On the mountain it was pretty busy, so we found a cool "secluded" place (private property hehe) and hopped a fence and started making a trail for the tube and snow skate. RJ and Jason pulled me for a little bit, but it wasn't really working like we'd hoped, so we just built a little snowman and took pictures. We probably spent about 2 hours doodling around up there and then we headed back to the truck to get off the mountain. I ran ahead of the boys and chased Bandit around (Jason's dog) I guess during this time Jason was discussing with RJ how he felt about me and how much he liked me. I won't deny I had some really strong feelings for him as well, but I thought it was still too soon to reveal them to him. After the mountain we went to RJ's girlfriend's parent's house and had smores and played games. Everyone was having a lot of fun and then I started feeling sick. Jason didn't hesitate in taking care of me and making sure I was comfortable, so we ended up going into a guest bedroom and I layed on the bed while he sat beside me. Somehow during all the talking we discovered how we felt for each other. Earlier that night he had told me " I love you", but I didn't hear him say it. I also said it to him not knowing he had already said it. So we both couldn't help our feelings and had a great long conversation about our hopes and goals in life and what we wanted most. We soon realized that we had a lot in common. It was like we were finishing each other's sentences and reading minds. After a little while we started joking about how we should get married and be happy together and have a family. Well.... after we started joking about it we realized that we both weren't really "joking." We had fallen in love with each other and there was no way to deny it. Both of us were a little nervous about how our families would feel and about him leaving for the army in a few months, we didn't know what direction to take this relationship. We both really wanted to be together, but we didn't want any family issues or feelings hurt. Well we kept it quiet for as long as we could, and then spilled the news a few weeks later. We bought the ring on February 8th, he proposed February 12th, and we got married March 6th. Everything just sort of fell into place and worked out perfectly which was good because it helped us see that the decision we made was right and the Lord was saying yes to us being together. Now we are happily married and waiting to start the next step in our own Happily Ever After.
